Fossil Alligator Scute - Ice Age Gator Osteoderm, Florida (EDI-84)

Genuine fossil alligator scute (osteoderm) — personally found by me scuba diving in a Florida river.

A solid middle-grade example: good size, nice pitting and a prominent keel, with some mineral staining that gives it character. These bony armor plates protected Ice Age gators, and they make fantastic display pieces — small, dense, and full of texture.
