Fossil Scute Trio - Glyptodont, Giant Armadillo & Alligator Scutes, Florida (EDI-64)

A hand-selected trio of fossil scutes — three beautiful examples of Florida Ice Age armor, all personally found by me scuba diving in Florida rivers.

This lot includes:

• Glyptodont scute (Glyptotherium) — the large one with the classic rosette pattern, from a giant armadillo relative the size of a small car.
• Giant armadillo scute (Holmesina) — radiating pit pattern with a central keel, measuring 2.79 inches on the caliper.
• Alligator scute (osteoderm) — the small square one, from an Ice Age gator.

Scutes are the bony plates that formed the armor of these animals — each one is a little sculpture. This is a great way to own three species in one lot at a bundle price.

Note: I will be listing individual scutes separately — this lot is priced below what the three would cost on their own.
